The Cesoles beneficiary group is made up of children, adolescents and young people aged 2 to 22 years old, from the Kindergarten, Library and Art Workshops programs, along with their families.
The beneficiary population lives in Commune 18 in the southwest of Cali, specifically on the Ladera de Los Chorros hillside, where the areas of "La Esperanza," "Las Minas," "La Cruz," "Oasis," "El Camino del Minero," "Alto Nápoles," and "Altos Los Chorros" are located. This area originated as a substandard settlement or land invasion, a situation associated with forced displacement due to armed conflict or extreme poverty.
This population is characterized by its diverse Afro-descendant and indigenous ethnic background, primarily from the country's Andean region, primarily from the departments of Nariño, Cauca, Valle del Cauca, the Pacific, and the coffee-producing regions. They live in conditions of inequality and lack of opportunities, placing them in socioeconomic strata one and two.
